Who we are

Kids Kidney Care is a non-governmental, not-for-profit Organisation working in Chennai, India since 2017 to make kidney care services for children accessible and affordable. KKC is committed to provide awareness and free medical aid to children affected with Acute & Chronic kidney related diseases.

Though we aim to bring about a ‘behavioural change’ by generating extensive awareness towards prevention of renal failures in Children and early diagnosis, the human-centred approach remains the centre of all we do.

Founding Story

The idea of helping Children with kidney diseases was first conceived by visionary Dr. B.R.Nammalwar, one of the senior paediatric Nephrologists in South India. Dr. B.R Nammalwar along with Late Dr. M. Vijayakumar and other like-minded philanthropic doctors, mainly Paediatric Nephrologists founded ‘Kids Kidney Care’ as a Trust in 2017. Presently, the legacy is being carried forward by Dr Sudha Ekambaram, acting as the torch-bearer of this noble cause.

Our Operational Areas

KKC aims to reach out to the remote areas of the Country to spread awareness on the preventive aspects of kidney diseases & basic healthcare. With a team of professional doctors & paramedics, we carryout awareness generation programmes, medical camps in Chennai, Chidambaram, Cuddalore, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu & Sriperumbudur districts of Tamil Nādu. The network will soon unfurl to other parts of the country in the near future.
